The school was established in 1953 and it is managed by the Private Aided Management. It is located in rural area . It is situated at a distance of about 8 km. from the Block Resource center. It is located in KOTTARAKARA block of KOLLAM district of KERALA. The school consists of Grades from 1 to 7. The school is co-educational and it has an attached pre-primary section. It has got 4 teachers for pre-primary section. The school is non-residential in nature and is not using school building as a shift-school. Malayalam and English are the medium of instructions in this school. This school is approachable by all weather road. In this school academic session starts in June.

The school has 4 building blocks which are housed in a Private building. It has got 22 classrooms for instructional purposes. It has 5 other rooms for non-teaching activities.
